Shaobo Wang 

Shaobo Wang was born in the City of Laizhou in Shandong Province in 1963. He received his degree in Applied Art at the College of Textile Engineering in Shandong. After graduating in 1986, Wang stayed and became a professor at the college. In 1995, he continued his education in painting techniques at the Chinese National Academy of Art. Currently, Wang is the Dean of Qingdao University of Fine Arts, a member of the Chinese National Artists Association, and the Vice Chairman of Qingdao Artists Association. Wang is well known for his watercolor and Chinese painting techniques.

Wang’s artworks often focus on combining Eastern and Western painting techniques and philosophy. He has traveled to Europe to study numerous remarkable Western artists’ masterpieces. Wang has developed a deep understanding of various painting techniques and has been dedicated to develop and create new methods of painting.

Wang has been engaged in Chinese painting for over twenty years.  He also applies his experience in watercolor creations in his Chinese painting practices and explores new brush techniques to enrich his paintings. Wong has established a unique realist watercolor style that presents the essence of both Eastern and Western art.
